As you can see, hormones are essential to our sexuality. While each of these hormones play an important role, they are supposed to work together synergistically to maximize your sex life. Questions
Nutrition and sexuality
Nutrition is the first step to improving sexuality. There are nutrients in certain foods and supplements that our doctor and wellness director can recommend to bring back your sexual desire and stamina.
Decreased sexual arousal, desire, and attraction
Testosterone, DHEA, estrogen, and cortisol all play a role in sexual desire, arousal and attraction. Testosterone and estrogen also increase sensitivity in sexual organs, sexual attraction, and feelings of love. Our doctor can test your levels of these hormones. If your hormone levels are off, we can design a treatment plan specifically for you that will not only increase your libido, desire, and sexual energy, but will also provide other healthful benefits.
Erectile dysfunction/Difficulty ejaculating or stimulating clitoris
Testosterone and DHEA contribute to successful erections and ejaculation. These hormones also increase sexual odor and sweat, from which pheromones are emitted. Cortisol extends the period of erection and encourages enthusiasm during intercourse. There are other hormones that make erections of the penis and clitoris last longer as well as increase sexual endurance and firmness and volume of the penis. You can be tested and treated by our doctor for deficiency of these hormones.
Difficulty relaxing/sleeping after sex
Melatonin and progesterone are the key hormones contributing to relaxation, calm feelings, happiness, and deep sleep following sex. If your hormones are disproportionate, these good feelings can be disturbed. Our doctor can test these hormones and devise a treatment plan to correct your hormonal imbalance.
Lack of vaginal lubrication
Estrogen is the hormone that contributes to vaginal lubrication, as well as other sexual feelings such as desire and attraction.
You can be tested and treated by our doctor for deficiency of these hormones.
