Sleep Better

Overview

Think about how you feel when you experience a good night’s sleep. You wake up refreshed, restored, and prepared to face the day’s challenges. Now think about how you feel when you can’t sleep, you lie awake at night or wake up frequently during the night, frustrated because all you want is to sleep but it seems so out of reach. You end up trying a sleeping pill without achieving satisfying results. Your problem could very well be lack of or imbalanced hormones.

Did you know that we experience five stages of sleep, all of which are affected by hormones in different ways? Each stage builds upon the prior stage to bring you to the most important stage – the fifth stage, commonly known as REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. REM sleep is very relaxing and improves memory. However, as you age, each of the stages gradually reduces, ultimately resulting in light or broken sleep that leaves you drowsy, cranky, or unsatisfied in the morning and dragging through the rest of the day. If you are experiencing these feelings, we can help. Our doctor and wellness director can design a complete treatment plan specifically catered for your needs. Imagine waking up every day feeling like you did in your twenties!

Questions

Sleep and nutrition

Nutrition is an important part of achieving restful sleep. Our doctor and wellness director can discuss strategies involving certain types of foods and supplements to help you sleep better.

Difficulty falling asleep

Melatonin and progesterone are important hormones aiding your ability to fall asleep. These can be very powerful hormones so correct dosage is important. Our doctor can test you for deficiency of these hormones and correct your imbalance if necessary.

Drowsy waking up

Melatonin and other hormones are beneficial for reaching a deep sleep for a longer period of time. Thyroid and cortisol are generally considered energizing hormones, but in certain circumstances and if taken correctly can also help you achieve deeper sleep. Estrogen in women, testosterone in men, and progesterone in both genders can improve quality of sleep. With complete testing and treatment plans by our doctor, you can be on the road to sleeping more deeply and waking up refreshed.

Waking up through the night

Thyroid hormones and DHEA may help correct problems like sleep apnea and severe snoring that often cause people to wake up throughout the night. Correct dosage is important, particularly because too much thyroid hormone can cause rapid heartbeat. Our doctor can test your levels for these hormones and prescribe the specific amount your body requires.

Not dreaming

Did you know research shows that dreaming helps us to absorb information in our brain? Our brain can become inefficient if we are not dreaming enough. Dreaming takes place during the REM phase of sleep. Fortunately there are several hormones that aid in achieving REM sleep, including melatonin, estrogen, testosterone, DHEA, thyroid hormones, and others. As with other hormones, correct dosage is very important. Our doctor can test your hormone levels and recommend a treatment plan. We will also schedule a follow-up visit for you in case any adjustment is necessary.

Jet lag

Melatonin is the key hormone in correcting the effects of jet lag. When taken appropriately, melatonin will adjust the release of your body’s hormones in accordance with your new time zone. If you travel frequently and experience difficulty recovering from jet lag, melatonin deficiency could be the culprit. Our doctor can test your hormones and, with the proper treatment plan, you can be on the road to a more restful sleep and general well-being.

What are your medical dispensing protocols?

REVITA offers treatment only to individuals with a clinical deficiency. Our company name is REVITA Anti-Aging, but we prescribe medications only to those who are determined to have a clinical deficiency by means of lab testing conducted by our REVITA Medical Physician. Working with our specially trained physician is important to ensure your short and long term wellness. Taking any type of supplement or prescription medication, even those that are natural as possible, can be counterproductive for your health and money if treatment is not necessary.

Testimonials

“Before I was fatigued, getting up in the morning was an absolute effort and I seemed to stay fatigued for much of the day. It took everything for me to get up. Now my eyes are just wide open when the alarm goes off. Sometimes it takes me until I get into the shower, but after that I’m just alert and feel in shape. I’m more focused and I remember things more.”

~ Wade, Charlotte, 42

“I’m tired at night which is great. Before I used to lay in bed awake at night for hours and I could go to sleep. I am just much happier in general. Overall I just feel better and I’m happier.”

You can have hormone imbalances and thyroid issues at any age.

~ Natalie, Charleston, 17

Fay: “I just feel a lot better now.”

REVITA: “How did you feel before?”

Fay: “I didn’t sleep well. I like doing it naturally too. I don’t like putting chemicals in my body. BHRT is the smart way to go.”

~Fay, Charlotte, 62

“Prior to getting on the program, I would have taken a nap in the middle of the day if I could have … now I don’t have the desire. “

~Ray, Gastonia, 47

“I was skeptical at first you know. But I feel great. I get four hours of sleep and it feels like eight.”

~Scott, Rock Hill, 33

“It’s been fantastic. All you said came true. I sleep better, I do better at work, I’m more focused and have more energy. It’s been fantastic.”

~Brad, Charlotte, 45

REVITA: “Do you sleep better?”
Kim: “Being able to sleep at night makes it all worth it. I told my husband if nothing else the sleeping part is worth it in and of itself.”

~Kim, Denver, 48

REVITA: “How are you doing?”

Betsy: “Good! My headaches are gone, I sleep better, and my hot flashes are almost gone. The doctor said to give it a little more time and they should be completely gone, but generally, I just feel so much better. My energy is great…not sure where it came from, but I think it’s because I sleep so much better.”

~Betsy, Monroe, 49

REVITA: “How are you feeling?”

Mary: “Wow, overly euphoric. I sleep phenomenal. It’s weird… it’s a sound, sound sleep, a really restful sleep. I still only sleep six hours but when I wake up, I feel really rested. My night sweats are gone, I feel much sharper mentally, my clarity is like, ‘bring it on.’ I just feel so clear. I feel much more relaxed, clear, and focused during all my meetings throughout the day. I can’t wait to start the Weight Loss Program, oh and my husband’s going to come in too.”

~Mary, Charlotte, 54
